More Power to Communities

With the introduction of the new style of Poole Council in September 2000,it is proposed to link up several wards to form Area Committees, it has been suggested but not confirmed that Hamworthy will link up with Oakdale and Harbour Wards. It is possible that a budget will be allocated to these area committees to be spent in the areas, this to be confirmed when the details are discussed later. The new structure of the Council will be a trial one, and residents will be consulted on it’s progress.

Action on Anti-Social Behaviour

Vandalism and anti-social behaviour has been the cause of concern within parts of Hamworthy. Poole Council needs your help in combating this problem. A letter from the Council is being sent to ALL RESIDENTS within the worst affected areas, explaining the new measures being taken and how you can help make them work.
