The walk goes westwards along the coast towards Abbotsbury and Loders, then north into some of the wildest and most unspoilt parts of the West Dorset uplands, through the attractive villages of Toller Porcorum, Frampton, Cerne Abbas, Charminster, Broadmayne and Osmington, then along the coast path back to Weymouth. All checkpoints after the first are in village halls. Food and drinks will be available at all checkpoints and a hot evening meal will be provided at Frampton.

Access to the start / finish is easy. Upwey station is only a five minute walk from the school, and you can get a bus or train from Weymouth in the morning (it's an hour's walk).
