Below is a list of
houseplants that are acceptable for your cat to munch on. Note that
there are conflicting reports about the aloe vera plant - so it is not
on this "approved" list
Note that if you want to
provide a plant that your cat can eat (so hopefully he will leave
your plants alone), you can purchase small containers of oat
grass.

- Miniature roses
- African violet (Saintpaulia)
- Hanging African Violet (Episcia)
- Gloxinia (Sinningia)
- Goldfish plant (Hypoestes)
- Lipstick vine (Aeschynanthus)
- Spider plant (Chlorophytum)
- Wax begonias (Begonia semperflorens)
- Sweet potatoes (Ipomoea)
- Shrimp plant (Beleperone guttata)
- Prayer plant (Maranta)
- Grape ivy (Cissus)
- Wandering jew (Zebrina)
- Asparagus fern (Asparagus)
- Any of the true ferns (Boston fern, maidenhair, etc.)
- Impatiens
- Common geranium (Pelargonium)
- Cacti (but make sure they are real cacti, not just a succulent)
- Coleus
- Catnip
- Swedish Ivy (Plectranthus)
