Total Motorsport Solutions Peugeot 206 Super Cup
– By Larry Carter

Britton Beats The Elements

Ulsterman Colin Britton and stand-in Scottish co driver Kirsty Riddick took victory in the Total Motorsports Solutions Peugeot 206 Cup as they headed home Miles Johnston and Iestyn Ap Daffyd by just under nine seconds after over an hour and a half’s rallying in the treacherously slippery forest tracks of Kielder.

Third, some eight minutes adrift after a time-consuming off, was Declan Magee and Thomas Nugent who were last of the 18 classified finishers on the Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally such was the attrition rate.

Winners of round one, Jamie Hickman and Tom Ward went OTL, Luke Pinder and John Bennie went off on the opening stage whilst Mike Harris and Ben Garrod went out on the penultimate stage and Colm Cronin and Howard Pridmore also retired.

*Winners of 50 litres of fuel courtesy of Petrochem Carless Ltd on the event were Marcus Dodd (B13) and Tony Thompson (N4)*
