Welcome to
the 2010 Brick & Steel Border Counties Rally. This
year’s event will once again be based in Jedburgh, host town
for the eleventh year running, with Rally HQ in the Town Hall next to
the start and finish in Abbey Place.

The
organisers have worked hard to secure stages in Kielder and
Wauchope complexes, some of which have not been used for many years
including, for the first time on this event, roads last used on the
Network Q RAC Rally in 1996. The event will have some 44 competitive
miles in 5 stages, with less than 90 road miles, offering a very
compact route. We are delighted to welcome, for the ninth year running,
Brick & Steel Construction as the event sponsor.
The organisers would like to thank John McClory of Brick &
Steel Construction for his fantastic support and advice over the years
and hope to see him for a tenth year!
Again this year, all cars in classes 1 to 6 will run at the front of
the field, including for the first time, competitors in the Brick
& Steel Ecosse Honda Civic Challenge. With registrations for
the Hankook MSA Scottish Rally Championship reaching record levels last
year, and showing signs of continuing this year with an excellent
turnout for round one the Snowman Rally, we would
advise you to get your entries in early to be sure of a run! We would
also like to encourage you to make use of our new online entry system.
Along with the opportunity to spread the cost of the entry fee using
PayPal or credit card and the inclusion of a Management or Service pack
(allowing for one vehicle to be used for both functions), this will
help reduce your costs on the event.
Opportunities to rally in the Scottish Borders and Kielder Forest are
few and far between, we invite you to take this chance to compete on
some of the best and most famous gravel stages the UK has to offer and
look forward to seeing you in Jedburgh on the 20th March where you can
be assured that a warm Border welcome awaits.
The Organising Team.
