in Wark and will feature a 55 mile route, all asphalt, on
Map87 with some very interesting roads for your driving
pleasure.
If you cannot compete, please volunteer your services to
marshal, they will be most warmly appreciated and, of
course, we cannot run the events without our band of willing

Rally
of Scotland - 20 / 21 November
The final round of
the prestigious Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) is almost
upon us, running over the weekend Friday 20th and Saturday 21st November.
The event forms a
centrepiece within the Homecoming Scotland 2009
celebrations.
This will be
the first time in over 20 years that Scotland has hosted a motorsport event of such calibre and the Rally has been secured
for Scotland for the next three years. Starting on Thursday November 19th, the RACMSA Rally of Scotland
will also cover three historic Forestry Commission Scotland
pathways used for previous Motor Sport events in Scotland.Click

YEARS OF RALLY HISTORY TRANSFERRED TO DVD
The entire 50-edition collection of the classic monthly rally
video series "Acceleration - The Rally Video" is finally being released on DVD,
with the first 12 months already available as individual DVDs (with two months
and almost 120 minutes on each DVD), or as a six-DVD box-set. The videos have
been digitally re-mastered for improved sound and the picture format has been
changed from the original 4:3 aspect of the usual 90s television to the newer
16:9 (widescreen) format of the latest televisions. [more]

Stobs Classic - 14 June - With Full video Feature
Archie and Richard Simmonds secured their
Stobs Classic crown on Sunday 14 June. The weather favoured the early runners as
heavy rain, which threatened the morning session, hit hard during part of the
afternoon session, extending the test times. [more]

The Lykamobile Steam Car Challenge
The Lykamobile Steam Car Challenge from
John O'Groats to Landsend stopped off on Tuesday 4 August on the
esplanade at South Queensferry. Jim Paterson met the crew to see how their
journey was progressing. On Wednesday 5 August they were at Jedburgh Abbey
Car Park.. The Steam Car Challenge is supporting

Border Counties Rally - 20 & 21 March
Under a clear blue sky and outstanding
weather for March, Marcus Dodd and Andrew Bargery took first place in
their Hyundai Accent WRC by a mere 5.9 seconds from Steve Perez and Paul
Spooner's Ford Focus WRC 07.Meanwhile in the Hankook MSA Scottish
Championship Jimmy Girvan and Mike Ramsay took top
prize, in a Subaru Impreza, 17 seconds ahead of David Bogie and Kevin Rae in a Mitsubishi Evo 9.
