Hislop brought the autocross special mini and proved that in
the wet it can still steer him to a win on the years first
autotest event.
Twentyfour competitors turned up on a wet and dreich day
at Selkirk pool car park to take part in the opening event in
the border clubs rally calendar.
Stuart Bruce could not hold the pace but secured the second
place 15 penalties behind Jock. John Wight took third and
Graeme Galloway threw the Anglia round in usual fashion to
take fourth.
Tommy Miller scored tops in the production car class only 2
points ahead of Arthur "Web" Weatherly who in turn squeezed
out Dave Black by 1 point! Ian Maxwell was close on their
heels, 4 points behind Dave, and Peter Humphrey 4 behind Ian
making it one of the closest top results for many a long year.
The event forms a round in the
BECC Autotest Championship.
