STAN JAMES WORLD MATCHPLAY SEMI FINALS ...
25 July 2008 - JAMES WADE is at his imperious best as he storms to his third consecutive World Matchplay final at the Winter Gardens with a 17-5 victory over Wayne Mardle.

He will take on top seed Phil Taylor in tomorrow evening's final.

24 July 2008 - JAMES WADE shakes off a stern challenge from Matt Clark by 16-12 to reach the semi-finals at the Winter Gardens.

23 July 2008 - JAMES WADE continues his defence of the title with a 16-7 win over Ronnie Baxter at Blackpool.

STAN JAMES WORLD MATCHPLAY FIRST ROUND ...
22 July 2008 - JAMES WADE begins the defence of his title with a 10-4 win over Wayne Jones at Blackpool' Winter Gardens.

BOBBY BOURN MEMORIAL PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP ...
19 July 2008 - JAMES WADE picks up £300 at the Bobby Bourn Memorial Players Championship at Blackpool by reaching the last sixteen.

Eventual runner up Ronnie Baxter beats him 3-2 and Colin Monk runs into Phil Taylor in the last 32.

Taylor maintains his unbeaten record in the event taking a sixth consecutive title.

LAKESIDE CLASSIC ...
13 July 2008 - Bouncing straight back from last night's disappointment, Paul Gibbs reaches the last four of the Lakeside Classic with a win over Paul Hogan before losing out to Ted Hankey. Ron Atwill makes the last 16 and Hankey goes on to beat Scott Waites in the final.

WINMAU WORLD MASTERS HAMPSHIRE PLAY-OFFS ...
13 July 2008 - Four men and four ladies go forward to the South West England finals in Slough on Sunday August 24th. The winners from today's play-off at Eastleigh are Roy Brown, Graham Hardy, Dave Bonnett and Martin Beckman in the Men's and Nikki Stevens, Carole Shinar, Sue Smee and Maria Agozzino in the Ladies.

BRITISH GOLD CUP ...
12 July 2008 - PAUL GIBBS makes the last eight of the Men's Singles at Lakeside before losing in straight sets to Chris Jones in a match televised live on Setanta Sports. Paul collects £400 for his quarter-final and Scott Waites beats Gary Anderson 4-2 to win the £4,000 first prize.

In the supporting events only Steph Smee and Jane Monaghan in the Ladies' Pairs manage to progress a round before being eliminated.

Mick Cookman and Roy Brown in the Men's Pairs and Wendy Reinstadtler in the Ladies' Singles lose their opening matches.


BERT AND PHYL KELLY PAIRS ...
7 July 2008 - Both finals were close with Graham Hardy and Mark Hazeldine taking the Men's title by 4-3 against Paul Gibbs and Paul Hogan and Jo Sibley and Debbie Porter edging Rhoda Harby and Jill Field by 3-2 in the Ladies' final.

6 July 2008 - JAMES WADE reaches yet another major televised final with an 11-8 victory over Peter Manley.

Unfortunately Phil Taylor proves to be too strong in the final and runs out the winner by 13-7 to take his first televised ranking win for over eighteen months and the £20,000 first prize. Wade has to settle for £10,000.


PARTYPOKER.NET LAS VEGAS DESERT CLASSIC QUARTER FINALS ...
5 July 2008 - JAMES WADE proves too good for Andy Hamilton at the Mandalay Bay and goes through to tomorrow's semi-final where he will play former winner Peter Manley. Wade wins the first leg of the match with a 170 finish and goes on to win by 11-7.

PARTYPOKER.NET LAS VEGAS DESERT CLASSIC ROUND TWO ...
4 July 2008 - JAMES WADE continues his attempt to add the Desert Classic to his list of titles with an 8-5 win over Mark Walsh at the Mandalay Bay. Wade now plays Andy Hamilton tomorrow for a semi final spot.

Sam Rooney goes down 8-3 to Adrian Gray whose immaculate finishing made the difference in the match.

3 July 2008 - JAMES WADE is still on course for a fourth major title in the last twelve months as he coasts to a comfortable 6-1 win over Dennis Smith in Las Vegas. He now faces Mark Walsh tomorrow for a place in the last eight.

PARTYPOKER.NET LAS VEGAS DESERT CLASSIC ROUND ONE ...
2 July 2008 - SAM ROONEY defeats former World Number One Colin Lloyd by 6-5 to advance to the second round of the Las Vegas Desert Classic at the Mandalay Bay. He will meet Adrian Gray for a place in the quarter finals.

PARTYPOKER.NET LAS VEGAS DESERT CLASSIC SECOND QUALIFIER ...
1 July 2008 - SAM ROONEY wins five matches to make the TV finals in the last qualifier for the Desert Classic.He includes wins over the likes of Steve Smith and two top ranked North Americans David Fatum and Chris White during the afternoon.

Andy Jenkins comes agonisingly close to qualifying, missing seven darts to beat Matt Clark in the last qualifying round. This defeat also means that he will miss the World Matchplay at Blackpool as he cannot climb back into the top sixteen in time.

Robbie Newland comes within two wins of making the TV finals before losing out to Andy Jenkins.
