ANDY JENKINS is shaded out of
the main draw 3-2 by 'Celtic Warrior' Wayne Atwood in the World
Darts Trophy in Utrecht in the Netherlands.
He had earlier beaten Phill Nixon by
3-0 in his opening match of the World Darts Trophy qualifying event. |

JAMES WADE almost made it three
big wins in a row as he missed two darts to beat Wayne Mardle in the
North American Pro Tour event in Atlanta. Unfortunatey for James
Wayne came back to take the deciding leg and the £5000 top prize.
Andy Jenkins was beaten in the last
sixteen by Roland Scholten.
Colin Monk made the last 32 but
lost out to Andy Jenkins. |

SEAN WHITE beat Stewart
Thorogood in the Young Men's final at the Entertainer. Charlotte
Burgess beat Abi Jurd to the Young Ladies' title and Liam Deavall
had a win over James Winder in the Junior final.
Almost 60 entries from six counties
made the event. |

Former UK Open finalist MARK
WALSH reminded everyone of his return to form with a four nil win
over Alan Caves to take the Basingstoke Open.
He included a 170 finish to take the
second leg and won the title with a 101 shot.
Martin Richell and Nigel Voller
reached the semis finals of a high quality field and Dan Butler,
Graham Hardy, Phil Wathen and Ben Burton made the last eight. |

RHODA HARBY is beaten 3-2 in
her opening game by Tracy Hancock from Cornwall in her attempt to
reach the Bridlington World Finals of the Ladies' World Masters at
Daventry. Paul Hogan is
knocked out 2-1 by Steve Lovett of Surrey in his second match. Nillson Pritchard
fares better but falls one win short of the Grand Finals as he is
defeated 2-0 by Cumbrian Alan McNaughton. |

GOSPORT SELECT are defeated by
5-4 in the final by Castle WMC from Yorkshire in the Grand Finals at
Daventry. They open the
morning with a 6-3 win over Tovil from Kent and reach the final with
a 9-0 win over TWA McGovern from Sussex.
Saltsports from Yorkshire beat the
Bridgewater Bitches who beat Eastleigh Loco Ladies in the regional
final to win the national ladies' title. |

GOSPORT SELECT, national
champions in 2004 have again qualified for the finals to be held
next weekend at Daventry. They made it through at Dorchester this
afternoon with a 6-3 win over the Avon champion team.
Unfortunately the Eastleigh Loco
ladies were beaten 5-2 by the Somerset champion team. |

JAMES WADE is crowned the 2008
William Cross Pro Am champion winning $15,000 in Dapto, NSW,
Australia. He beat Simon
Whitlock in the quarter-final, John Part in the semi-final and Andy
Jenkins in the final to claim another important title.
Aussie Number 2 Glen Power had
another win over holder Richie Burnett to reach the semi-finals to
cap a great week for him. The
4 PDC Professionals also won 10-5 in Saturday's Test Match against
Australia. |

JAMES WADE and ANDY JENKINS
both reach the semi-finals of the second warm-up event in Dapto,
NSW, Australia. Wade loses out to Richie Burnett and Jenkins to John
Part. Part went on to beat Burnett in the final.
The 4 professionals are in action
tomorrow against Team Australia in a Test Match. |

JAMES WADE reaches the final of
the warm-up event at Dapto in Australia earlier today where Simon
Whitlock beat him by 6 legs to 2. Eight top Australians and the four
professionals took part. Richie Burnett made the last four and John
Part the last eight but Andy Jenkins did not progress through the round robin
groups. A second Unicorn
Challenge takes place on Friday with sixteen top Australians mixed
in with the four touring professionals. |

ANDY JENKINS reached the last
sixteen of the event in Australia before losing out to Craig
Prizeman. Richie Burnett who travelled with Andy made the final
before Glen Power beat him 6-5. Glen had already beaten top Aussie
Simon Whitlock. Andy and
Richie will be joined later in the week by John Part and Stan James
World Matchplay champion James Wade as they all take part in the
$44,000 William Cross Pro Am between 9th and 12th August at Dapto,
NSW. |
