On
Friday 4th February 2005 two of the top players in the World go head
to head at Cosham RBL. Home town player
Andy
"Rocky" Jenkins (pictured left) currently ranked 11th in the
World takes on
Lionel "The Lion" Sams who is rated ten places below him in
21st. Both are regular players on the TV screens and are to be found
in the later stages of most professional ranking events. Admission
is by ticket only, £5 (or £3 under 16) and more details can be
obtained from Mark Cotterill on 07717510963.

Neither player is a stranger to the
Cosham stage, with Lionel Sams (pictured right) winning the 2001
Cosham Open before reaching the final a year later, where he was
beaten by the odd leg in 11 by Andy Jenkins.
This
is the ideal curtain-raiser for the South West UK Open taking place
on the following two days. Your Master of the Microphone for the
evening will be
Phil Jones (pictured left). Cosham RBL is in Sixth Avenue,
Cosham, Portsmouth and the doors open at 7.00 p.m. for a 7.30 p.m.
start. |
