ANDOVER NEWS ... |
Places for the Colin Monk Classic
Ranking competition on Saturday 17th February are filling up
fast.
Monk, Andover’s most successful
darter ever, will be making a rare appearance in an Andover
competition since winning the World Masters and the British
Open. The trophy, in honour of the former England International
marks the first open competition in the quest for 2008 ranking
points and a big turn out looks guaranteed.
This is the penultimate
competition before the Classic, the entry fee is again only £5
and entry forma are now available
More details can be found at
www.andoverdarts.org.
It is with great sadness that
Andover Invitation Darts report the recent and sudden death of
New Streets Micky Collins.
Micky had been a great friend of
Andover darts for over a quarter of a century going back to the
successful Meadow Club era and his smiling face and chirpy
personality will be sorely missed.
The ‘diminutive dartsman’ was a
quality player and the trophies that he won although numerous were
still outweighed by countless friendships he made in darts. Andover
Invitation Darts will announce details of The Micky Collins Memorial
Classic Ranking competition in the near future.
