STEFFI SMEE saw her hopes
of reaching tomorrow's world final dashed in straight sets this
evening against Anastasia Dobromyslova.
Smee was unable to reproduce her form
from her great victory over Francis Hoenselaar as the Russian girl
powered her way to her first world championship final without
dropping a leg.
9 scores of 100 or more including
two 140s were not enough against Dobromyslova who polished the match
off in style with a 14 dart leg. |

5 January 2008 -

display on her Lakeside debut to dump the world ladies number one Francis Hoenselaar

101 and 86 on the bull gave her the first set in style without
dropping a leg and despite the five time finalist from Holland
stealing the first leg of the second set, Smee wrapped up the match
by reeling off the next three legs.
Steffi hit sixteen three figure
scores against eleven from the top seed in the match and she is now guaranteed £1,000 in prize
money.
She now plays Russian star Anastasia Dobromyslova for a place
in the final. |
