James Wade has made it through the qualifiers in Las
Vegas and will join World Number 9 Andy Jenkins in the last 32 of
this prestigious £100,000 event on Wednesday. The top 12 in the
world together with the top ranked 3 Americans and top ranked
Canadian will be pitched against the 16 survivors from Monday and
Tuesday's tough qualifying competitions. |

British Pentathlon in a top class line-up in Kent. Unfortunately she
is placed last but that is no disgrace in a field of the best

- Jane Monaghan reaches the last 32 of the English Open
Ladies Singles at Brean Sands beating internationals Janine Gough
and Roelie Bakker before being defeated by Dawn Standley.
Former Hampshire star Mandy Solomons shows that she can still mix it
with the best by reaching the quarter finals before eventual winner Jan Robbins gets
the better of her. |

- Colin Monk (pictured left) qualifies for the Stan James World Matchplay
in Blackpool with a 5-4 win over Tony Smith in the final round, James
Wade is unlucky not to join him as he misses out by 3-5 to Robert Green.
Aaron Turner goes out early in the qualifying play-off as does Robert Heard.Andy Jenkins is already assured of a place in the finals
which take place between 25th and 31st July as he is ranked number 9
in the world and the top 28 are exempt from the qualifying round. |

- James Wade has an excellent run to the semi finals
before Darren Webster, the English National Champion gains revenge
for last week's UK Open defeat. James claimed the scalps of Dave
Smith, Dave Askew, Henry O'Neill, Bob Anderson and Peter Manley
amongst his victories during the afternoon. Andy Jenkins loses out
to Richie Blake in the last 32 and Aaron Turner makes the same round
before going down to Bob Anderson. |

and Karen from Oxfordshire. |

history as he hits his second live televised nine darter. No
£100,000 bonus this time, he has to settle for 501 bottles of
