DESERT CLASSIC III ...
30 June 2004 - James Wade (pictured left) is desperately unlucky not to make the televised stage as he narrowly loses to 2004 World Championship runner-up Kevin Painter.

Andy Jenkins however sweeps aside Bob Anderson without dropping a leg in his revenge for the defeat inflicted on him in Purfleet last December.


DESERT CLASSIC III ...
28 June 2004 - James Wade has made it through the qualifiers in Las Vegas and will join World Number 9 Andy Jenkins in the last 32 of this prestigious £100,000 event on Wednesday. The top 12 in the world together with the top ranked 3 Americans and top ranked Canadian will be pitched against the 16 survivors from Monday and Tuesday's tough qualifying competitions.

BRITISH LADIES PENTATHLON ...
20 June 2004 - Jane Monaghan has been taking part in the gruelling British Pentathlon in a top class line-up in Kent. Unfortunately she is placed last but that is no disgrace in a field of the best performers in the Ladies' game.

ENGLISH OPEN ...
20 June 2004 - Jane Monaghan reaches the last 32 of the English Open Ladies Singles at Brean Sands beating internationals Janine Gough and Roelie Bakker before being defeated by Dawn Standley. Former Hampshire star Mandy Solomons shows that she can still mix it with the best by reaching the quarter finals before eventual winner Jan Robbins gets the better of her.

STAN JAMES WORLD MATCHPLAY PDPA PLAY-OFF ...
19 June 2004 - Colin Monk (pictured left) qualifies for the Stan James World Matchplay in Blackpool with a 5-4 win over Tony Smith in the final round, James Wade is unlucky not to join him as he misses out by 3-5 to Robert Green. Aaron Turner goes out early in the qualifying play-off as does Robert Heard.

Andy Jenkins is already assured of a place in the finals which take place between 25th and 31st July as he is ranked number 9 in the world and the top 28 are exempt from the qualifying round.

18 June 2004 - Jo Sibley hits a 170 finish in her Super League match.

SHEPPEY CLASSIC ...
13 June 2004 - James Wade has an excellent run to the semi finals before Darren Webster, the English National Champion gains revenge for last week's UK Open defeat. James claimed the scalps of Dave Smith, Dave Askew, Henry O'Neill, Bob Anderson and Peter Manley amongst his victories during the afternoon. Andy Jenkins loses out to Richie Blake in the last 32 and Aaron Turner makes the same round before going down to Bob Anderson.

THE QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY HONOURS ...
12 June 2004 - Olly Croft, Founder and Director of the British Darts Organisation is appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Darts by Her Majesty The Queen in the 2004 Birthday Honours announced today.

6 June 2004 - Newly ranked World Number 1 player John Part denies Andy Jenkins (pictured left) his first television final as he steals the fifteenth leg after Andy had 3 darts at a double to run out an 8-7 winner.

6 June 2004 - Andy Jenkins continues his progress in the event with an 8-6 victory over Colin Lloyd.

SWISS OPEN PAIRS ...
6 June 2004 - Jane Monaghan teams up with Karen Williams to lift the Ladies Pairs title with a final win over Francis Hoenselaar and Karin Krappen. Their semi final opponents are Mieke de Boer and Roelie Bakker so all 4 top ranked Dutch Ladies were beaten by Jane and Karen from Oxfordshire.

6 June 2004 - Andy Jenkins moves into the last 8 with a hard fought win over Colin Monk in an all Hampshire classic.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN FOURTH ROUND ...
5 June 2004 - Andy Jenkins is in a hurry to reach the last 16 as he despatches Martyn Freeman 8-0 and Colin Monk joins him with an 8-4 win over David Platt. Brave James Wade is edged out 7-8 in a tense encounter with the in-form Colin Lloyd. Phil Taylor makes history as he hits his second live televised nine darter. No £100,000 bonus this time, he has to settle for 501 bottles of Budweiser!

SWISS OPEN SINGLES ...
5 June 2004 - Jane Monaghan reaches the Ladies quarter finals losing out to Francis Hoenselaar and Paul Hogan makes the last 16 of the Mens Singles before Mervyn King ends his chances.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN THIRD ROUND ...
5 June 2004 - Young Gun James Wade is in blistering form as he edges out the English National Champion Darren Webster 8-7. Colin Monk makes short work of the talented Wayne Jones and Andy Jenkins survives a real battle with Michael Barnard before prevailing by 8-7.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN SECOND ROUND ...
4 June 2004 - Colin Monk wins 5-2 against Mark Holyake to make the last 64 and James Wade joins him with a 5-3 defeat of Gary Stephens. Ian Eames bows out 0-5 to Erik Clarijs and Sam Rooney (pictured left) loses out 2-5 to Matt Clark.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN FIRST ROUND ...
4 June 2004 - Ian Eames pulls off another comeback from 2-4 against John King to win 5-4. He is joined in the next round by Sam Rooney who defeats James Wheatley 5-2 and Colin Monk who wins a cracking encounter with Lee Palfreyman 5-4. Unfortunately it is an early exit for Bob Crawley (pictured left) as he goes down 3-5 to Derek Williams.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN  PRELIMINARY ROUND ...
4 June 2004 - Ian Eames (pictured left) fights back from 2-4 down to win 5-4 against Gary Thompson in the only preliminary round match of the event as the £124,000 finals get underway.
