BASINGSTOKE EASTER OPEN ...
27 March 2005 - Colin Monk claimed the £300 top prize at his local event with a 6-3 win over Jimmy Mann who has shown some impressive form of late. Alan Caves and Graham Skipp make the semi finals and Paul Gibbs, Jason Bower, Dennis Smith and Chris Bailey complete the quarter final line up.

ANDOVER CLASSIC ...
26 March 2005 - A high quality field assembled for the Transplus Andover Classic and it was World number 18 Mark Walsh who won over fifth ranked Ronnie Baxter to take the £600 first prize. Ronnie picked up £300 plus a bonus of £100 for the top finish of 160. Dennis Smith and James Wade were the semi finalists and Colin Monk, Bob Crawley, Steve Greenough and Sam Rooney reached the last eight of an event littered with world-class players.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN NORTH WEST ...
20 March 2005 - James Wade is edged out by 4-5 in a closely fought quarter final with Jimmy Mann. The event is won by Alex Roy who beats Ronnie Baxter in the final.

19 March 2005 - James Wade makes it through to Sunday's last 8 gaining revenge for his World Championship defeat in his match with Mark Holden. Colin Monk has to be content with a last 16 place going down to Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins reaches the last 32 before Wayne Mardle ends his hopes.

VAUXHALL SPRING PROFESSIONAL ...
11 March 2005 - James Wade and Colin Monk both make the last 16 at Great Yarmouth. Monk loses out to Ronnie Baxter while Mark Walsh ends Wade's run.

Andy Jenkins reaches the last 64 but is beaten by Kevin Dowling.


BUDWEISER UK OPEN NORTH WEST BOARD ALLOCATIONS ...
11 March 2005 - Andy Jenkins has the toughest draw with his possible opponents at Chorlton-cum-Hardy featuring Wayne Mardle, Mark Dudbridge and Cliff Lazarenko.

At the same venue Ian Critchett could face Peter Evison, Barrie Bates or Peter Allen while Ian Eames has a group that includes Adrian Lewis, Phil Taylor, Eddie Lovely and Mick Manning.

James Wade's possible opposition is Adrian Gray, Mark Walsh and Steve Johnson and he is also at the Chorlton-cum-Hardy venue.

Colin Monk is drawn at Stockport and his group includes Steve Maish, Keith Deller and Darren Webster.

Aaron Turner and Robert Heard are also drawn at Stockport and as they are in the same group they face possible opposition from Roland Scholten, Kevin Painter, Alex Roy and Mark Thomson.

INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
6 March 2005 - Hampshire's Mens A draw 6-6 at home to Essex while the Ladies slip to a 2-4 defeat. The overall match ends in an 18-18 draw leaving Hampshire in fifth place in the overall table.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN SOUTH ...
6 March 2005 - Andy Jenkins beats Diamond Dave Askew 5-3 to make the semi-finals but cannot match Mark Dudbridge in the semi-final at Finchley and slips to a 0-2 sets defeat. Denis Ovens turns up the heat in the final leg of the final to edge Dudbridge out and take victory.

INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
5 March 2005 - Hampshire lead 10-8 overnight in the home match with Essex as the Mens B team win 7-5 after the ladies draw 3-3.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN SOUTH ...
5 March 2005 - Andy Jenkins qualifies for the last eight with a win over Colin Monk in the last 16. Colin had previously eliminated James Wade in the last 32.

Former World Youth Champion Aaron Turner had a good win over Matt Clark and made the last 32 before going down to Roland Scholten to put himself in with a chance of a first trip to the Bolton finals.

Ian Critchett also gave himself a cracking chance of emulating him with a win over Dave Smith to make the last 64.
