26 March 2006 - Andy Jenkins beats Danny Pinhorne in the final of the Isle of Wight Spring Open.

ROY BROWN ON EUROSPORT ...
23 March 2006 - Roy Brown is part of the England thirteen at the British International Championship. The event takes place in Merthyr Tydfil on April 8th and 9th. Satellite channel Eurosport 2 will cover the event with a blend of live and recorded action during three transmissions over the two days.

BRIAN FOX AND BOB ANDERSON MEMORIAL EVENTS ...
20 March 2006 - The Academy Snooker Centre in Basingstoke will stage the Brian Fox Memorial Singles and the Bob Anderson Memorial Pairs on Saturday 29th April 2006. 50% of the entry fees will go to the "Heart of Darts" charity and 50% will be returned in prize money.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN NORTH WEST ...
19 March 2006 - James Wade lost 5-2 to Raymond van Barneveld in the opening quarter final at Manchester. Raymond then lost in straight sets to eventual winner Alan Tabern. James picked up £500 for his last eight placing.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN NORTH WEST ...
18 March 2006 - James Wade made all the headlines in Manchester as he produced amazing darts to beat John Part to qualify for the last eight. As well as a perfect nine darter he had legs of 12, 13, 13 and 13 to win 5-1. Andy Jenkins reached the last 32 and Colin Monk the last 64 but none of the other Hampshire players managed to improve their positions in the merit table.

FINNISH OPEN ...
11 March 2006 - Basingstoke's Paul Hogan misses out on valuable live TV exposure at the Finnish Open in Tampere. He makes the last 32 where he goes out to Finn Markku Ukonmaanaho by 3 legs to 2. Paul' s winning legs are in 16 and 20 darts and Markku's 20, 26 and 23.

Satellite channels British Eurosport 2 and British Eurosport have live coverage this afternoon from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. of the closing stages.

11 March 2006 - Hampshire County Darts Organisation President Bert Kelly (pictured left) is 90 years old today.

INTERNATIONAL DARTS LEAGUE ...
10 March 2006 - Paul Hogan has an excellent chance of progress in the International Darts League to be held in Nijmegen, the Netherlands between 6th and 14th May. In his opening group he will face Gary Anderson, Brian Sørensen and Per Laursen. Two players from each four man group will qualify for the second round robin phase of four groups of four players. Two winners from each of those will contest the quarter finals onwards knockout style.

10 March 2006 - James Wade reaches the last eight at Great Yarmouth before going down to eventual winner Dennis Priestley.

INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
5 March 2006 - Hampshire Ladies A win 5-1 away at Essex but the Mens A slip to an 8-4 defeat. The final weekend score is an overall win of 20-16 to Hampshire.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN - SOUTH REGIONAL FINAL ...
4 March 2006 - Bob Crawley has a great run to the last sixteen of the latest Budweiser UK Open event at London. He is finally beaten 5-2 by Bob Anderson.

Andy Jenkins is beaten 5-4 by Ian Whillis in the last 32. James Wade goes down by 5-2 to Terry Jenkins and Colin Monk is beaten by the same scoreline by Ray Farrell.

Ian Critchett and Ian Eames both win their opening games but are unable to progress to the last 64 as Sean Palfrey and Tommy Wilson end their hopes.

Bob Crawley is now almost certain of a place at the finals in Bolton, along with Jenkins, Wade and Monk. Ian Eames is still within the top 96 places as well, and it is these 96 that will make the trip to the Reebok stadium. There are two events remaining before the final cut off.


INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
4 March 2006 - Hampshire lead Essex by 11-7 overnight at their away match in Chelmsford. The Ladies B team draw 3-3 and the Mens B have an excellent 8-4 win.

ENGLAND SELECTION 2006 ...
1 March 2006 - Roy Brown (pictured left) has become the latest in a long list of illustrious Hampshire names to be selected into the England Team. The Basingstoke man will be a member of the 13 man squad who will contest the British International Championship in Merthyr Tydfil on April 8th and 9th. Former World Boys Masters Champion Danny Ballard has also been named as a standby player to the squad.

Roy is joined in the squad by Martin Adams, Tony Eccles, Steve Farmer, Shaun Greatbatch, Andy Gudgeon, Tony O'Shea, John Walton and Ian White who are all retained from 2005. Martin Atkins, Ian Jones, Gary Thompson and Scott Waites like Roy are all new caps.

Hampshire's previous England internationals are Cliff Lazarenko, Ged Harrop, Andy Jenkins, Colin Monk, Paul Hogan, James Wade, Rhoda Harby, Mandy Solomons and Annie Armour.

Les Wallace, Andy Wallace and Jim McKindland have all represented Scotland in previous years.
