HILL PARK COURAGE SINGLES ...
31 October 2004 - Many of Hampshire's top super league players were in action at the Hill Park Courage Singles event as Roy Brown beat Paul Hogan in the final. Jon Bramble and Kev Ede made the semi finals and Sam Rooney, Andy Elvin, Neill Neat and Ian Critchett completed the last eight line up.

WORLD RANKINGS ...
27 October 2004 - Andy Jenkins is the highest ranked Hampshireman in the latest World Ranking table released by the Professional Darts Corporation following last week's events in Ireland. He is placed at number ten while Colin Monk is at number 45 and James Wade at number 50. The newly crowned World Grand Prix champion Colin Lloyd is catching Phil Taylor at the top as he climbs to his all time high position of second. The Top 100 can be seen at www.planetdarts.co.uk

GOSPORT OPEN ...
23 October 2004 - Southampton's former county star Kim Osborn won the Gosport Open from a field of around a hundred as he beat Pip Brown from Weymouth 3-0 in the final. Semi finalists were Gene Bagley and Paul Smith. Paul was the best local performance losing out to Osborn in the last four.

WINMAU WORLD MASTERS ...
22 October 2004 - The World Masters gets underway at Bridlington but it is a disappointing day for Hampshire's players as John Andrews is narrowly beaten by Swede Oskar Lukusiak 3-4 in the opening round of the Boys' event. Oskar caused a sensation in August by hitting a 9 dart leg in the Danish Boys' Open at the age of 12

Shane Clifft also goes down 1-4 in his first game after a first round bye in the Boys' event to a Dutch player, Mark Venema. Mark recently reached the semi finals of the World ranked Open Emmen in the Netherlands.

Paul Hogan also receives a first round bye but is eliminated in his opening match by Scotsman Chris Loudon by three sets to one.

Unfortunately there are no Hampshire players in either the Girls' or Ladies' events

SKYBET WORLD GRAND PRIX ...
21 October 2004 - Yet again Lancastrian Alan Warriner proved to be Andy Jenkins' nemesis as he edged him out by 3 sets to 2 at the CityWest Hotel. Twice Andy flamed his way back from a set behind but he was unable to melt the Iceman.

Warriner now faces Taylor's conqueror Andy Callaby in tomorrow's quarter finals and is the only player in the last eight to have previously won a Sky Sports TV event when he lifted this same title three years ago.

LAKESIDE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS ...
21 October 2004 - Greg Cheesbrough falls at the first hurdle to the Dane Per Laursen but Paul Hogan makes better progress until he eventually bows out two match wins short of the Lakeside finals to top American John Kuczynski.

The four players joining the 27 invited players are John Henderson, Wayne Warren, Robert Thornton and John Kuczynski and they will be joined by the winner of the lucky-loser play off, Davy Richardson, unless the World Masters is won by a player not already in the field.

Anne Kirk and Tarja Salminen have qualified for the final eight of the Ladies event while Sue Edwards will make up the number unless the weekend's World Masters is won by someone not already in the finals.

SKYBET WORLD GRAND PRIX ...
19 October 2004 - Andy Jenkins survives in a last leg thriller to break the "Ace of Herts" Alex Roy in one of the opening round's best encounters. BUDWEISER UK OPEN ...
17 October 2004 - Colin Monk has a cracking run to the semi finals of the UK Open Irish Heat in Saggart, Dublin where he is finally ousted by a very much in form Mark Walsh. James Wade makes progress to the last 16 before Diamond Dave Askew stops him in his tracks and Andy Jenkins is edged out in the last 64 by Chris Mason. The other three players each suffer an early defeat as Phil Taylor goes on to win the final against Mark Walsh despite Walsh hitting some incredible scores.

PDPA PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP ...
16 October 2004 - Colin Monk reaches the last 32 of the £20,000 PDPA Players Championship in Saggart, Dublin before going down to Roland Scholten. Ian Eames is beaten in the last 64 by former World Master Mark Dudbridge but the other Hampshiremen all depart in the opening round. The standard is exceptional as Yves Cottenjé and Chris Mason both fire in nine darters and Colin Lloyd topples Phil Taylor in a blistering final.

BUDWEISER UK OPEN DRAW...
11 October 2004 - The draw for the board allocations for the Irish heat of the Budweiser UK Open has been made. BOB ANDERSON CLASSIC ...
