WINMAU WORLD
MASTERS ... |
22
October
2004 -
The World Masters gets underway at
Bridlington but it is a disappointing day for Hampshire's players as
John Andrews is narrowly beaten by Swede Oskar Lukusiak 3-4 in the
opening round of the Boys' event. Oskar caused a sensation in August
by hitting a 9 dart leg in the Danish Boys' Open at the age of 12
Shane Clifft also goes down 1-4 in his first game after a first
round bye in the Boys' event to a Dutch player, Mark Venema. Mark
recently reached the semi finals of the World ranked Open Emmen in
the Netherlands.
Paul Hogan also receives a first
round bye but is eliminated in his opening match by Scotsman Chris
Loudon by three sets to one.
