EMPERORS PALACE SOUTH AFRICAN MASTERS ...
30 September 2007 - JAMES WADE beats Lodewyk Marais 4-0 in his quarter final match at the Emperors Palace Casino in Johannesburg.

A tense semi final match with World Champion Raymond van Barneveld goes the distance but the Dutchman finally prevails by 6-5 to gain a measure of revenge for last week's Blue Square UK Open defeat in Newport.

The £15,000 event is transmitted live by Challenge TV in the UK and by SuperSport in South Africa. Phil Taylor beats Raymond van Barneveld by 8-6 in the final.


PARTYBETS.COM GRAND SLAM OF DARTS ITV WILDCARD PLAY OFF ...
30 September 2007 - COLIN MONK is the best placed Hampshireman in the play off at Wolverhampton for two places at the grand finals of the new event to be televised in November by ITV Sport. He finally succumbs 5-4 to Andrew Findley in the last 32.

Chris Mason and Kevin McDine both win places in the 32 man event and guarantee themselves £4,000 each from a total prize fund of £300,000.


ISLE OF WIGHT MIXED DOUBLES ...
30 September 2007 - ROY BROWN partners Linda Ithurralde to win the Isle of Wight Open Mixed Doubles beating Andy Jenkins and Tricia Wright in the final.

LAKESIDE LADIES' WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ...
30 September 2007 - STEFFI SMEE beats her mother Sue Smee to win through the Southern Regional play off at Slough for the 2008 Ladies World Championship.

Steffi now takes her place at the International play off at Bridlington in November.


LEICESTER LIVE LOUNGE OPEN ...
30 September 2007 - PAUL HOGAN beats Andy Hamilton in the semi final but loses out to Nigel Haydon in the final. Peter Allen is the other player in the last four.

ISLE OF WIGHT OPEN ...
29 September 2007 - ROY BROWN reaches the final of the Men's Singles at the Isle of Wight but loses out to James Allison from Essex. Linda Ithurralde beats Trina Gulliver to win the Ladies' Singles event.

LAKESIDE MEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ...
28 September 2007 - STEVE PHILLIPS has won a place in the International Qualifier for the Lakeside World Championship by winning the Hampshire play off.

The qualifier takes place in Bridlington in November.


BLUE SQUARE UK OPEN WALES ...
23 September 2007 - JAMES WADE made up for Saturday's first round defeat as he beat Raymond van Barneveld in the first of eight £25,000 UK Open heats in the 2007/2008 Series. The final stages were transmitted live by Blue Square TV at their website. James took the £6,000 first prize and guaranteed that he will be one of the top group of players at Bolton's Reebok stadium next June.

Andy Jenkins and Aaron Turner both reached the last 64 picking up £100 apiece.

Colin Monk lasted until the last 32 winning £200.

Ian Eames, Ricky Williams, Ian Jopling, Ian Critchett and Robbie Newland all had early defeats. Along with Danny Pinhorne who survived his opening preliminary round match before going out each will be eager to pick up some money towards Reebok qualification sooner rather than later.


BRITISH OPEN SINGLES ...
23 September 2007 - PAUL HOGAN fared best of the Hampshire contingent beating Gary Robson on his way to the last 16 of the Men's Singles where Co Stompé ended his run. Paul picked up £80.

PAUL GIBBS reached the last 32 losing to John Henderson and now must wait to see whether his 26th place in the invitation list is enough to take him back to the Lakeside stage where he made an impressive debut earlier this year.

Gary Anderson beat John Henderson in an all Scottish final to collect the £3,000 first prize.

None of the Hampshire ladies can reach a similar stage in the Ladies' Singles which is won by Russian star Anastasia Dobromyslova.


PLAYERS' CHAMPIONSHIP NEWPORT ...
22 September 2007 - ANDY JENKINS reached the last 16 of the PDC Pro Tour event at the Newport Centre before becoming one of Alex Roy's victims. Alex went on to reach the final but was beaten to the £5,000 top prize by World Number 2 Raymond van Barneveld. Andy's efforts netted him £300 towards the Order of Merit.

Ricky Williams and Colin Monk made the last 64 winning £75 each.

There were early defeats for Ian Eames, Robbie Newland, Ian Critchett, Danny Pinhorne, Ian Jopling and James Wade.


BRITISH OPEN DOUBLES ...
22 September 2007 - STEFFI SMEE and NIKKI STEVENS have an impressive run to the quarter finals of the Ladies' Doubles at Bridlington. Their progress is finally halted by the winners Apylee Jones and Heather Busby.

None of the Hampshire men reach an advanced stage of the Men's Doubles which is won by Dutch duo, Edwin Max and Mario Robbe.


PDC NORTH AMERICAN PRO TOUR ...
16 September 2007 - James Wade reaches the final in Chicago but is beaten 3-1 by Ronnie Baxter.

Andy Jenkins loses by 3-2 to Dutchman Vincent van der Voort in the last 32 and Ricky Williams is beaten by 3-1 by Dave de Priest in his opening match.


WINDY CITY OPEN ...
15 September 2007 - James Wade reaches the final of the Men's Cricket Singles at the Windy City Open in Chicago losing out to Team Unicorn stablemate Terry Jenkins.

LES BRANT CLASSIC ...
15 September 2007 - Johnny Haines beat Dave Parker in the final of the Les Brant Classic Singles at The Entertainer, Andover. Colin Denyer and Paul Hogan reached the last four.

The event is named in honour of Andover's former Hampshire county player, Les Brant who is now 75 and was on hand to present the prizes.


PDC PRO TOUR ...
9 September 2007 - Michael van Gerwen beats both Colin Monk and Andy Jenkins at the Pro Tour event at the Irish Open Classic in Castlebar.

Ricky Williams is edged out by the odd set in five by Brendan Dolan.

James Wade reached the last 32 but Dave Ladley ends his hopes in another five set match.


HAMPSHIRE JUNIORS ...
9 September 2007 - The Ladies' Under 21 Team won the round robin Champion of Champion events this afternoon despite a 2-1 defeat to Glamorgan. A 3-0 win over Oxfordshire proved decisive. Tara Power remained undfeated.

The Men's Under 21 Team beat Glamorgan 3-2 but a similar defeat to Kent meant they missed out to them by one point. Arron Monk was unbeaten in both matches.


LADIES' WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY OFF ...
7 September 2007 - MARIA AGOZZINO, JANE MONAGHAN, STEPH SMEE and SUE SMEE all won through to the next round of the Ladies' World Championship at Eastleigh Loco Club.

Good luck to all four when they try to qualify for the International Play-Off at the regional final which takes place on 30 September 2007 at Slough.

BULLIT WORLD DARTS TROPHY ...
2 September 2007 - JAMES WADE was edged out of the World Darts Trophy in Utrecht this evening by 3-2 by Bradford-based Scott Waites. Waites has recently been invited into the Grand Slam of Darts which will be televised by ITV in November.

BRITISH INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
2 September 2007 - HAMPSHIRE are beaten by 21-15 in the first county weekend of the season. The ladies' A are beaten 4-2 and the Men's A are beaten 7-5.

Wendy Reinstadtler wins the Ladies' match award and Paul Hogan's 92 average wins the Men's.

BRITISH INTER COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP ...
1 September 2007 - HAMPSHIRE trail by 8-10 overnight at Cambridgeshire in the 2007-2008 season opener. The Ladies' B win by 4-2 but the Men's B are defeated by 8-4. Mark Smith, on his debut, and Elaine Harty were Hampshire's leading performers.
