The BRITISH DRAGONFLY SOCIETY and THE DRAGONFLY PROJECT jointly run the DRAGONFLY CENTRE at the National Trust Nature Reserve at WICKEN FEN. TV Presenter and Naturalist  CHRIS PACKHAM performed the opening ceremony on  SUNDAY THE 26TH OF JULY 2009.  Afterwards he led a guided walk and talk on
Dragonflies.  The aim of the Dragonfly Centre is to show people that dragonflies are fascinating, beautiful and in trouble, and that everyone can help.

.     On selected days, the Centre will offer :   Half-Day Dragonfly Safaris, One-day Introductory and Advanced Courses, Tailored Tours of the Fen, Individual and Group Tuition, Guided Dragonfly Walks, 'Ask-Me' Knowledgeable Enthusiasts regularly on site.

Would you like to help run the Centre ?

We need volunteers to run the Centre - you can be an 'Ask-Me' Knowledgeable Enthusiast and talk to people about Dragonflies.   We aim to open on every weekend in Summer, and perhaps in future years during some weekdays too.  So we need enthusiastic volunteers to sign up and commit to a half day here and there, as many or as few times as you can manage will be very welcome.  We can give you basic training. Can you help us ?  There are slots available on the following pages …
