*** Welcome to the Home Page for the New Kingdom Trilogy***
If
that was summer, I must have blinked and missed it...
Three lousy weekends of sunshine, and before you know it you're turning the clocks back and planning for Xmas, wondering where the year went. But autumn means Newcon looms ever closer, so I hope you've got your tickets! Details at http://www.newcon4.com/newcon/main/default.aspx - Clare Brown and I have a stall and hope to meet a few people and sell a few books. Also in attendance will be actual stars like Iain Banks (accompanied by his M - it is a sci-fi con after all!), Storm Constantine, some milling goths, and my mate Colin Harvey. Come along and say hi, and get some signed goodies.
We've even got t-shirts from Cafepress for the occasion, which you can buy from https://www.cafepress.com/hierath if you want to join in - there might even be prizes, if you're lucky.
This update I've posted an extract from a brand new Hoff story, centering around the popular theme of beer. You can find it on the Real Barbarian Heroes page. And there's some exciting news from Dark Ocean regarding PC games, and the editing of them. it's very exciting to see your name in the credits for an actual game! I should take a screenshot of it and send it to my mother, as evidence that I'm actually doing some work...
Still waiting for the "From the Asylum Year 4" Anthology, which has been held up due to bereavement, but the "Future Bristol" Anthology is steaming ahead. I've got a contents list now :
| Author | Story |
| Liz Williams | Isambard's Kingdom |
| John Hawkes-Reed | The Guerilla Infrastructure HOWTO |
| Stephanie Burgis | After The Change |
| Joanne Hall | Pirates of the Cumberland Basin |
| Nick Walters | Trespassers |
| Christina Lake | A Tale of Two Cities |
| Colin Harvey | Thermoclines |
| Gareth Lyn Powell | What Would Nicholas Cage Have Done? |
| Jim Mortimore | The Sun In The Bone House |
The whole thing is edited by Colin Harvey and well be released next April, to coincide with Eastercon. I've seen the artwork, and I can't wait for it!
If you've got any comments about the site, or about anything really, just drop us a line on hierath at btinternet.com.
That's all for now, take care, and please, if you're at Newcon, come up and say hello!
love
joey
