CHRIS GIBBONS & TOM LEARY

When Chris Gibbons first made contact with us to say that he would be interested
in playing our venue with Tom Leary we were a bit uneasy because at first glance their musical styles seem to be some way from our mainstream tastes. But Chris convinced us that we should give it a go as his tastes run to Bluegrass and he would enjoy a trip down Bluegrass lane.
The musicianship and pedigree of both men are very impressive and they have numerous recordings with international names as well as their own albums.
Tom's lists of credits are endless and include Little Johnny England and guesting
 with Fairport Convention. A humorous and interesting man , there is not much that   Tom has not seen or done within the music world. Now working with Kevin Dempsey from Whippersnapper , Tom is a beautifully tender player with a great gift for writing melodic tunes as well. Famous within the Feast for his laugh amongst other things , his mirth is highly infectious.  Tom now lives in Oxfordshire and can also been seen playing with Albion Morris with Ian Cutler.
Great fun to be with and hilariously funny , Tom is just the tonic you need after a long , bad day.   TOM LEARY

Chris has played with many of the top USA soul and Blues performers and brings a real sense of his roots into his live concerts. Chris grew up musically during the Blues Boom in the late 60s when Clapton, Beck, Page et al were setting the pace and developing Chicago Blues into a new rock style guitar. Since then Chris has enjoyed considerable success as a composer, performer and recording session musician. His interests also spread to Bluegrass and tonight promises to be very interesting!
