Activity Centre

What a find. The activity centre at the top is a full picture of the one given on your preparation sheet. It was made by a company called Chad Valley (I think) which no longer trades by that name. The phone makes a clicking noise when you turn the dial, the orange star makes a squeaking noise, the cogs turn each other round and the little shapes on the bottom spin round and round. The little round barrel at the top right spins and makes a noise cause its full if little beads. Well none of that is important. Remember the paper asks you to think about children walking, well the toy on the left folds out to turn it into a walker (a bit like the picture underneath it). What's it made of? All plastic which has been injection moulded or injection blow moulded . When it is folded the handle can be for carrying. When its opened the child holds it to push the toy.

The bottom is most likely a piece of plywood pushed into a groove (you can see the groove on the sides near where the wheels are), the wheels are fitted onto a metal axle which has a capping nut on the ends to stop the wheels dropping off.
