Metal Spinning
| The important thing here is
that all metal spinning used to be done by hand until fairly recently
and it was a very skilled job. Now it is more or less all done by
CAD/CAM. The design is figured out on a CAD programme (COMPUTER AIDED
DESIGN), the design details are then fed from the CAD computer to the
CAM computer (COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURE) which converts the details
used on the CAD programme into details which the manufacturing computer
can understand. Switch on!
