Top and bottom rails at the front and back were also joined with mortise and tenon. The bottom rails were shaped for appearance. The back was ply and was grooved in. The shelf was MDF and was dropped on runners which were screwed to the sides.

The door was a mortise and tenon frame with ply panel with beading put round for appearance.

The handle was bought. The hinges were surface mounted. The door catch was magnetic. The bottom was dropped in and pinned to the bottom rails. The job was stained and varnished.
