 The material the planks are made from looks like OAK or they could be HDPE (high density polyethylene), That's plastic to you and me). I think they are fixed to the frame using galvanised nuts and bolts |
 The frame is made from welded square tubular mild steel which has probably been powder coated. The tube is bent using a pipe bender. Look here for welding or here for more methods of joining |
