Wow. Where did the picture of the picnic table go which had a childs playground in the distance. Somebody stole it didn't they?. No they didn't you silly Billies. The AQA exam board made me remove it because I broke copyright. |
You know, the only two things that spring to mind looking at this
picture are 1. It looks like huge pieces of square tube concreted into the ground and onto them is fixed either wood or plastic planks. See below. 2. The barbeque in the foreground. Look here. This could mean looking at 1. Welding. Look here 2. Galvanised nuts and bolts or screws 3. Powder coating or enamelling. Enamelling is when you dip an item in powdered glass and fire it in an oven so the glass melts onto the surface of the item and gives it a thin coating of glass. Cookers at home (if they are not stainless steel) are often done in this way. The process is not that different to making a clay pot and glazing it. |

It's simple isn't it? Try to remember details like this cause you are almost always asked about constructional details (how you would fix things together). Don't forget the seat post would be coated to stop it going rusty. The plank if it was made from wood should be made from a material like oak or teak because they are resistant to weather. If it was a soft wood it has to be coated. Either wood preserver or varnish or paint. |
