Hertfordshire Organic Gardeners (HOGs) was formed in the autumn of 1991. Its purpose is to encourage the residents of Hertfordshire to garden and farm without chemicals in harmony with the natural process.

We are the local group of Garden Organic,[previously known as the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA)] which promotes, and carries out research into, Organic gardening methods. We are also affiliated to the Soil Association, which sets standards for Organic agriculture.
