Ron Evers born in 1912 spent most of his years in Yorkshire where he used his photographic hobby to further his interest in many local topics. He prepared many slide talks and regularly toured local societies entertaining and enthralling audiences with his unusual combination of photographic skill, local knowledge and wit. He died in 1993 leaving his talks unpublished. This website is dedicated to the task of publishing this work by his daughters, Charlotte Evers and Rosemary Hoppitt in the hope that his work can still be enjoyed by many even after his death. The talks were based upon his lifelong interests and most were completed in the 1970's after his retirement.
If you would like high definition copies (1500 x 1000 pixels) of the photographs please contact Rosemary Hoppitt, explaining your requirements. The coloured photographs are his own work, the historic black and white photographs are of unknown ownership.
