The railway that isn't there... by Ron Evers

In 1912 about 1/4 mile of track was complete and a Bassett-Lowke 4-4-2 type locomotive had been delivered. This little locomotive, modelled on the lines of the famous Ivatt Atlantics of the GNR was a thing of beauty and a joy for any railway enthusiast to behold. Here she is, with Sir Robert at the controls and Lady Walker and friends in the open car behind.
