Its a shrimp !

"Morning Ladies" - Yes kids its a 7 foot shrimp, be afraid!

Taking along three yocals to their first game, I happened to mention the fact that the Southend mascot is a shrimp (I thought everyone knew that!) - "Sammy the Shrimp".

Sadly due to the fact Sammy is 7ft tall, unable to travel on public transport (where's he supposed to keep his loose change!) or get a driving licence he doesn't go to away games.

Even with the encouragement of one of the yocals shouting: "I want the shrimp" (this went down really well with the other 76 die-hards,!!), it wasn't going to appear, so just to prove I didn't make it up, here, just for Emma, Zane and Sian here is the infamous Shrimp............
