Am also looking for information regarding the Howitts from Long Eaton; John "Quaker" Howitt (born 1805 in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, England, died 1881 in Guelph, Canada) moved his family in 1834 to Canada, built The Grange in Guelph, and had several children. Harry Howitt might have been the brother to my great, great grand father, Dr. Richard Irvine Howitt. My grandmother left copious notes about our lineage, as she called it, and the photos I have of The Grange are pretty cool. I did a google search of John Howitt of Guelph and found tons of cool information. I live in Los Angeles, would love a chat. Z
