Hi Jane, Was surprised to see this. My husband has long heritage roots with this name, here in Port Alberni, BC. Unfortunately the elders have passed on but not before I tried to get some info. I was given, by an aunt, some info to try and get our family tree moving. She gave me the name John Tinley Howitt m Elizabeth Martha ??. Our aunt, because of her age was a little vague on some details. According to her they had 3 children, Florence/Benjamin/Nell. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
