Speen and North Dean News
Welcome to the Speen & North Dean News website.
This is not some sexy, wizzy, wonderful website, but it is a local site for local people and for those who may have moved away from the area, and for those interested in Speen and North Dean and life in the Chilterns. Each newsletter that is currently delivered free to all houses in the villages of Speen and North Dean is being slowly made available on the Internet.
At present we have a facsimile of the small Spring issue (No 17), an increasing number of pages from Issue 19 (the autumn 1999 edition), and will be starting the new Millenium Edition shortly. Eventually we should catch up with issue 18.
If you read any of this, then please send an e-mail to let us know, to say "Hi ". The editor is ALWAYS interested in articles. There is very little editorial censorship, except where the material exceeds the space available, so you can be assured of appearing in print.
We are not sure what a newsletter ought to look like on the Internet, so if you
see anything you like - please say so; if you think it could be better - tell us how;
in the meantime - browse through and enjoy.

For those of you who live here, or hereabouts, you may be interested in the following walk around Speen. It comes from Dennis Claydon in Lacey Green and provides some excellent etchings and photographs as well as a potted history of the sights you will see as you follow the walk. Well recommended.
