"Recently I received an email querying me about a certain band, the “Almighty Overlords Of All Evil” or “AOOAE”.  It would appear that this band has set up a website advertising their existence.  However I’m yet to hear of anyone actually, well hearing any of their music.  Their website is just as unhelpful, and with the exception of some extremely basic and sparse lyrics there is no reference to music at all.  This led me to the conclusion that they were perhaps a concept band created to get their message across.  However, their goals include “funking up politics” and “arming the homeless”.  The website itself is just as bizarre, decorated with pictures of the television detective called Columbo and Boris Yeltsin, proclaiming Columbo to be “the one true god”.  My only conclusion is that this is somebody’s idea of a joke.  However, it is a rather shallow and wholly un-funny American kind of humour, much like a film involving Robin Williams.  This website is obviously the result of someone with too much time on their hands and yet too little talent.  So, in conclusion, I would review this band if I had anything to review, but I don’t, so I won’t.  I wouldn’t watch this space." - reviewed by Ted Maul from NMOnline

[of course, us at AOOAE see this review as a compliment.  We aim to be hated, feared, respected, and admired, all at once.  Anything less would be considered failure.  So inevitably we find this article as pleasant as nihilistic post-Armageddon rock pioneers can possibly find anything]
