In St. Patrick's Church this evening (Sunday) at 6.30pm.

FIRST FRIDAY:
Masses & Confessions at usual times. Sick visitation as usual.

CHANGE OF MASS TIMES:
It has been proposed that Vigil Mass in St. Colmcille's Church and St. Brigid's Church should be held at 6.30pm. Please use the paper at the back of the Churches to let us know whether you agree or disagree with this.

MORNING PRAYER OF THE CHURCH:
Will commence in St. Patrick's Church on Monday 2nd December at 8.45am and continue each morning during Advent.

PIONEER TOTAL ABSTINENCE ASOCIATION:
Monthly meeting after 7.30pm Mass in St. Patrick's on Tuesday 3rd December.


PRAYER CARDS:
Containing prayers for Advent and a message from the Bishop are at the back of the Church. Each family should take one and use them during Advent. They have a beautiful picture of Our Lady holding Jesus on the front.

PENITENTIAL SERVICE:
A Penitential or Reconciliation Service for Advent will be held in St. Patrick's Church on Wednesday 18th December at 7.30pm. A number of priests will be available for Confessions and we hope as many parishioners as possible will attend.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK:
The week of Sunday 8th December to 15th December is Catholic Schools Week. The theme this year is "Peace Making: a Shared Responsibility". This gives us an opportunity to reflect on the work that is being carried out in our schools for all our children in providing havens of peace and reconciliation in our society.

ST. PATRICK'S CHORAL SOCIETY:
Presents "A Concert for Christmas" in Down Arts Centre on Thursday 5th December at 7.45pm. Adults £7, Children £5 includes seasonal buffet. Contact 028 44612117 for tickets.

DE LA SALLE HIGH SCHOOL:
Presents "A Christmas Carol" production on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th December at 7.30pm in the school. Admission: Adults £2, Children/OAP £1, pay at the door.

APOSTOLIC WORK:
Christmas Sale in St. Michael's Parish Centre on Tuesday 10th December from 6.30pm - 9.00pm. Cakes, knitted goods, tombola and Christmas Draw. Please give generously to help the missions.

PARISH BAZAAR:
There will not be a Parish Bazaar this year. We would like to thank all those who have helped organise and supported the Bazaar over the last few years.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE:
The next blood donation session will be held in Down Parish Hall, Church Street, Downpatrick on Monday 9th December from 2.30pm - 4pm & 5.30pm - 8pm.

PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE:
Guitar Tuition - Every Tuesday & Wednesday evening. Beginners, age 8 - 11 from 7pm - 8pm. Beginners age 12 plus from 8pm - 9pm. New members welcome.

ST. COLMCILLE'S YOUTH CLUB BALLYVANGE:
The Youth Club is open on Monday & Wednesday evenings 7pm - 10pm. Junior section age 7 - 11years, 7pm - 8.30pm and Senior Section age 12 + 8.30pm - 10pm. Programmes include Multi-Sports, Arts, Crafts, Cookery, Dance, Competition evenings, and monthly trips. Parents wishing to register their children can do so by calling into Ballyvange Hall on Monday/Wednesday evening 7pm - 10pm. Full programme details available from Patrician Youth Centre or at Ballyvange Hall on Monday or Wednesday evenings.

RUSSELL GAELIC UNION:
Monday 2nd December: Special Meeting of all members in Clubhouse at 7pm.
Saturday 7th December: Juvenile Presentation in the Clubrooms at 3pm for under 10's U 12's, U14's, U16, Ladies Footballers Hurlers. Parents & family members welcome.
Friday 13th December: Senior Club Awards Night.
Trophies: Anyone holding a perpetual trophy at either senior or juvenile level should return same to the Clubhouse or Executive member this week.
Sunday 15th December: Children's Annual Christmas Party at 3pm in Clubrooms. Primary 1 to Primary 5 Children welcome. Children must be accompanied throughout.
Sunday Night: Clubhouse entertainment - Linda Gawley.
