NOVEMBER DEAD LISTS:
Are now available at the back of the Churches. Once returned, ALL the envelopes are opened and lists placed in baskets before the altar. Mass is offered for all those mentioned each day during November. All donations are gratefully received.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES/LINK PARISHIONERS:
The Envelopes for the new collection year are ready for all districts. Link Parishioners are asked to call at the Parochial House to collect the envelopes for their streets. Envelopes can be collected and distributed immediately.

KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY:
The grass at the Cemetery will be cut on Monday/Tuesday of this week. Those wishing to cover graves should do so.
DISPOSAL OF RUBBISH:
PLEASE NOTE: There are areas at the Cemetery for the disposal of rubbish: the dump, the skip and behind the screen in the left hand corner of the Cemetery. PLEASE PLACE RUBBISH IN ONE OF THESE AREAS. DO NOT DUMP RUBBISH AT THE GATES OR IN ANY OTHER UNAUTHORISED AREA OF THE CEMETERY.

The Sunday Missal is now on sale in the Repository.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS/ READERS OF THE WORD:
A retreat for Ministers of the Word and Eucharistic Ministers will be held on 30th November from 2pm - 5pm. The Retreat will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Leyton S.J.

OCTOBER DEVOTIONS:
Because of Mary's singular co-operation with the action of the Holy Spirit, the Church loves to pray in Communion with the Virgin Mary, to magnify with Her the great things the Lord has done for her and to entrust supplications and praise to her (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2682). Devotions in St. Patrick's each Sunday in October 6.30pm.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL:
Donations of good quality winter clothing, toys, household items, furniture large or small is required to maintain the stock in our shops. A collection service is available, to arrange collection contact 028 44616960 for furniture and 028 44614194 for toys, clothing, bric-a-brac etc. Many thanks to all those who continue to support in all aspects of our work.


INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL:
Downpatrick Twinning Association welcomes dancers from Bezons (Paris) and Szekszard (Hungary) for International Dance Festival on Saturday 2nd November at 8pm, in The Great Hall, Downshire Hospital, Ardglass Road, Downpatrick. DIOCESAN HISTORY:
A history of the Diocese of Down & Connor is on sale at the Repository in St. Patrick's, and at the back of the other Churches, cost £10. It contains items on all the parishes in the diocese. There are two entries for Downpatrick, one on the inside of the cover and the other on page 32. We would like to have a good sale of them as we are selling them at cost price.

ST. BRIGID'S CHURCH FUND:

ADORATION OF THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT:
First Friday all night vigil, 1st November 2002, commencing at 7pm through to 8.30am on Saturday morning followed by Mass at 9am at Tobar Mhuire Monastery, Crossgar.

HABITAT LOOKING FOR HELPING HANDS:
Calling ALL volunteers! Christian housing charity, Habitat for Humanity Northern Ireland is looking for people to help build houses at its new project at the Model Farm Estate in Downpatrick. The charity, which helps low-income families build and purchase their own homes at a price they can afford, has already completed two projects in North and West Belfast and recently launched its third project of fourteen houses at the Model Farm site. You don't need any skills or previous experience - just be over sixteen and be willing to get your hands dirty! Saturday, 30th November has been set aside as the day on site for our parish, if you would like to find out more details, please contact Canon Murray at 028 44612443.

AWARE DEFEAT DEPRESSION:
Are organising a public talk entitled "Sad or Depressed? Where does normal life end and illness begin?" in Downpatrick Cricket Club on Monday 28th October at 8pm. Speaker is Dr. Patricia Moynihan, Consultant Psychiatrist, Downshire Hospital, Downpatrick. Admission is free and all are welcome.

RUSSELL GAELIC UNION:
Sunday 27th October: Senior Football - Clonduff v Downpatrick at Hilltown, 12.30pm. Come along and support your team in this important game.
