PARISH PRIMARY SCHOOLS:
Will all re-open on Monday 1st September. Please note: The Special Unit at St. Colmcille's Primary School will re-open on September 3rd.

ST. PATRICK'S PRIMARY SCHOOL:
Please note: Because of work currently being carried out at the School, parents are asked to use the Ardglass Road entrance to the School.

ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL:
School Reopens as follows: Years 8 & 11 on Monday 1st September, Whole School on Tuesday 2nd September.

DE LA SALLE SCHOOL:
1st September - Year 8 pupils only, 2nd September Years 8 & 11 pupils only, 3rd September ALL Year Groups.

ST. PIO:
All those who have booked places on the Trip to Knock must have their places paid for no later than 31st August.

DEVOTIONS:
PLEASE NOTE: There are NO Devotions during July and August.

DOWNPATRICK NURSES LOURDES PILGRIMAGE:
Annual Church Door Collection will be held this weekend outside all the Churches in the Parish. Please give generously.

MASS IN IRISH:
In St. Patrick's Church on 3rd September at 7.30pm

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
The A.G.M. will be held on Wednesday 3rd September at 7.30pm in the room below St. Patrick's Church. New members always welcome.

LECTIO DIVINA:
Will resume on Tuesday 9th September at 8pm in the Convent of Mercy.

LEGION OF MARY:

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Every Saturday in St. Patrick's Church from 12 noon to 1pm.

LA SALLIAN PRAYER GROUP:
Meet each Thursday at 7.30pm in the Chapel of the De La Salle Brother's House, Stream Street, for one hour. During the hour there is Exposition, Recitation of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, short readings and prayers are said for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The meeting concludes with Acts of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. New members are always welcome.

CONVENT OF MERCY PRAYER GROUP:
Meet on the First Saturday of each month in the Convent of Mercy Chapel at 2pm. The Rosary is recited followed by a short Spiritual reading and reflection and concludes at 2.40pm approx with an Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Entrance is via the Stream Street door. This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome.


PTAA:
Monthly meeting will not take place this week. Notification of new date later.

KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY:
There are areas at the Cemetery for the disposal of rubbish: the dump, the skip and behind the screen in the left hand corner of the Cemetery. Please place rubbish in one of these areas. DO NOT DUMP RUBBISH AT THE GATES OR IN ANY OTHER UNAUTHORISED AREA OF THE CEMETERY.

AFTERSCHOOL CHILDCARE CLUB:
At The Scout Hall, Thomas Russell Park is now enrolling for September. For further details contact 02844839841 or 44619706.

ST. PATRICK'S CHORAL SOCIETY:
Auditions for children and adults will be held in St. Michael's Parish Centre on Tuesday 2nd September from 7pm onwards.
Rehearsals for "Oliver" will commence on Tuesday 9th September in St. Michael's at 8pm.

ACCORD PRE-MARRIAGE COURSES:
Accord are holding Pre-Marriage Courses on the following dates: Saturday 13th September, 11th October, 22nd November, 6th December. Places are limited, it is advisable to book early.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
At Tobar Mhuire, Crossgar on Friday 5th September from 7pm on Friday through to 8.30am on Saturday. Mass at 9am.

PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE:
O'CONNOR SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCING: Irish Dancing Classes resume in the Youth Centre on Thursday 4th September at 3pm. Beginners and advanced dancers are welcome to attend.
BALLET STEPS SCHOOL OF BALLET:
Ballet Classes begin on Saturday 6th September and will take place every Saturday from 9.30am - 4.30pm. New Members are welcome to enrol, age three and half years and upwards.

RUSSELL GAELIC UNION:
TROPHIES: A number of perpetual trophies need to be returned to the Club or Joe O'Reilly immediately as they are required for presentation. Anyone holding one should treat this matter with the utmost urgency.
JUVENILE TRAINING: P1, 2, & 3 training has commenced at St. Dillon's Avenue on Saturday Mornings at 10.30am.

DOWNPATRICK SURE START:
Free Training funded through Down District Strategy Partnership at Downpatrick Sure Start. Introduction to Play & Care for 5 weeks commencing at Downpatrick Sure Start on 27th August and at Ballymote Centre on 29th August, Basic First Aid for parents for 2 weeks commencing on 8th September.
