ST. PATRICK'S GRAMMAR SCHOOL:
Will hold a Church Door Collection outside all Churches in the Parish this weekend for Romanian Orphans. Please give generously.
CANDLEMAS:
Monday Week, 1st February, is the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord and is Candlemas Day. Anyone who wishes to have candles blessed should leave them in the Sacristy before Mass.
FR. WATT:
Recently retired from the Parish. A number of parishioners have suggested making a presentation to him at a date in the future. Donations for a presentation may be left at the Repository, Parochial House or placed in an envelope and put into the collection bags on Sunday.
PARISH PRIMARY SCHOOLS:
Children born between 2/07/99 and 01/07/2000 (inclusive) are due to start Primary School in September 2004. Application forms are available from all the Primary Schools in the Parish - St. Patrick's , St. Brigid's, St. Colmcille's, & Convent of Mercy. Completed application forms together with a BIRTH CERTIFICATE should be returned to the school of your choice on or before Wednesday 28th January 2004.
CONVENT OF MERCY & ST. COLMCILLE'S NURSERY SCHOOLS:
Application forms for enrolment September 2004 are now available from both schools. If your child was born between 2nd July 2000 - 31st August 2001, you may apply. Application forms should be returned to the school before Noon, on Wednesday, 28th January 2004.
ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL:
Invite Parents and P7 pupils to an Open night on Tuesday 3rd February in the School from 7pm - 9pm. The principals address will be at 7pm in the school gym.
APOSTOLIC WORK:
Downpatrick Apostolic Work meetings will resume on Tuesday 27th January in St. Michael's Parish Centre at 7.30pm. New members are very welcome to help in our work for the Missions.
WEEK OF PRAYER:
The Week of Prayer for Unity among Christians ends today, Sunday 25th January. There will be a combined Prayer Service this evening, Sunday 25th January at 7pm in the Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Stream Street. We would all pray for this very important intention and, especially, come to the Service.

The New Sunday Mass times are now in place. The new times are as follows:

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
Will have St. Brigid's Crosses on sale in all Churches in the Parish on January 31st and February 1st. Minimum donation £1. Please support us.
BINGO IN PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE:
Is on every Friday Night at 9pm. The numbers attending the Bingo have been falling in recent years, so that at present it is running at a loss. In order to make sure that the Bingo can continue, we appeal to parishioners to support it. A bus has been organised to collect people and bring them to bingo, further details from Hilary Burns, Tel:44614147
9am MASS:
A bus will leave Ballymote Centre at 8.30am each Sunday morning starting from 1st February for 9am Mass in St. Patrick's Church. Cost £1. Further information available from "Vincents" Tel: 02844619144

ST. MIGUEL YOUTH BAND:

ST. COLMAN'S HIGH SCHOOL BALLYNAHINCH:
Parents of, and pupils in primary 7 are cordially invited to attend an Open Night at St. Colman's High School, Ballynahinch on Wednesday 28th January 2004. The school will be open from 7pm - 9pm. Principal's address will be at 7.30pm sharp. Appointments are welcome on other days.
IRISH DANCING CLASSES:
Are held in The Scout Hall, Thomas Russell Park, on Tuesday Nights from 5.15pm - 8.15pm. Anyone wishing to join the class should meet the teacher at the hall.
