ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE TO SAUL:
To St. Patrick's Shrine, Saul, will take place on Sunday 20th June. Mass will be celebrated at 4pm. We would like as many parishioners as possible to attend.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:
The amount raised by those parishioners who became associate members of the pilgrimage was £1045. This is a truly generous sum and we wish to thank the members of the Legion of Mary and their helpers who took it up and also the parishioners who subscribed to it.

PRESENTATION TO FR. WATT:

CHRUCH DOOR COLLECTION:
In aid of Belarussian Chernobyl Children's Charity will be held outside all Churches in Parish next weekend. The Charity is a local international group set up in 1997 to assist the children from the Gomel Region of Belarus, who are still suffering the effects of the nuclear overheat in 1986. In July and August the group will be bringing 45 children to this area to stay with host families and receive medical support. Your support would be appreciated.

ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH: WEEKDAY OPENING:
St. Patrick's Church will now open in the morning at the later time of 8.30am rather than 8.00am. We hope that this does not cause too much inconvenience.

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
Wish to thank all those who helped and contributed with the Annual Street Collection which was held on Saturday 29th May. £1400 was raised for Aids Orphans in South Africia. Your help and ongoing generosity is greatly appreciated.

ST. COLMCILLE'S PARENT AND FAMILY CENTRE:
Invite you to the third of their informal talks and discussions for Parents with teenagers in the family or with children approaching adolescence on Tuesday 8th June at 7.30pm in St. Colmcille's Parent and Family Centre. This talk entitled Promoting Self Esteem and Healthy Choices... How to talk to your child about tough issues will be given by Ed Sipler, Drugs Education Officer, Down Lisburn Trust, John McCullough, Drugs Education Officer SEELB. Everyone Welcome. KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBANUS:
The Local Council of the Knights are publishing a leaflet to commerate the 50th anniversary of the Rosary Rally and the visit of Fr. Peyton to Downpatrick on 20th June 1954. These will be available in all the Churches in the Parish on 20th June.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE:
Will hold blood donation sessions in Down Parish Hall, Church Street, Downpatrick on Monday 14th June from 2.30pm - 4pm & 5.30pm - 8pm. In order to maintain the vital supply of blood to our hospitals, the Blood Transfusion Service need the support not only of existing donors, but also of new donors. Please come along - it could save a life!

EUROPEAN ELECTIONS:
Will take place on June 10th. Polling will take place from 7am to 10pm. In order to vote you are required to produce a photographic form of identification. The eligible list of ID includes: a current British or Irish Passport, a NI Provisional Driving Licence, or a current GB or NI full driving licence; a current electoral identity card and a current Senior SmartPass issued under the Northern Ireland Concessionary Fares Scheme.

LITURGY SEMINAR:
The Annual Liturgy Seminar entitled "Holy Communion: Distribution and Reception" will be held on Saturday 12th June from 10.30am - 4.30pm in St. Anne's Parish Centre, Kingsway, Finaghy, Belfast. It will be conducted by Fr. Patrick Jones, Director, National Centre for Liturgy, Maynooth. Cost is £5 per person.
