FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
Today, Sunday 13th June is the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ. There will be a Holy Hour in St. Patrick's Church at 6.30pm this evening.
PETERS PENCE COLLECTION:
Will be taken up next weekend.
CHURCH DOOR COLLECTION:
In aid of Belarussian Chernobyl Children's Charity will be held outside all Churches in Parish this weekend. The Charity is a local international group set up in 1997 to assist the children from the Gomel Region of Belarus, who are still suffering the effects of the nuclear overheat in 1986. In July and August the group will be bringing 45 children to this area to stay with host families and receive medical support. Your support would be appreciated.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL:
Meeting in St. Michael's Parish Centre on Monday 14th June at 8pm.
APOSTOLIC WORK:
Annual Sale & Cake Display in St. Michael's Parish Centre today, Saturday 12th after 6.30pm and tomorrow, Sunday after 10am Mass. Cake Sale on Sunday at 10am. Sacred Vessels, (which are on display in St. Michael's Centre) can be sponsored for the Missions. There will also be a Church Door Collection on the weekend of 27th June 2004. Please support the Missions.

GALA CONCERT:
In the Great Hall, Downshire Hospital, on Wednesday 16th June at 8pm sharp featuring Philomena Begley, the Queen of Country Music, with support from Sharon Larkin and Tom O'Rourke, Compere will be John Kielty, tickets cost £10 and are available from Paddy O'Shea, Tel: 44841777. All proceeds to parish of Dunsford & Ardglass.
FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART:
The Feast of The Sacred Heart will take place next Friday, 18th June. A special Holy Hour for Priests will be held in St. Patrick's Church from 11am to 12 noon. We hope as many parishioners as possible will attend.
CONSECRATION OF FAMILIES:
Consecration of families of the Parish to the Sacred Heart will take place in St. Patrick's Church on Friday 18th June at 7.30pm.
DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
The Third World Group invite you to their Annual Barbeque in Downpatrick Cricket Club on Saturday 19th June at 8.30pm. Tickets £10 are available from Thomas Gibney or by ringing 02844614059/02844613285. All proceeds to Assumption Missions in South Africa.
ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE TO SAUL:
To St. Patrick's Shrine, Saul, will take place on Sunday 20th June. Mass will be celebrated at 4pm. We would like as many parishioners as possible to attend.
KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBANUS:
The Local Council of the Knights are publishing a leaflet to commerate the 50th anniversary of the Rosary Rally and the visit of Fr. Peyton to Downpatrick on 20th June 1954. These will be available in all the Churches in the Parish on 20th June.
BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE:
Will hold blood donation sessions in Down Parish Hall, Church Street, Downpatrick on Monday 14th June from 2.30pm - 4pm & 5.30pm - 8pm. In order to maintain the vital supply of blood to our hospitals, the Blood Transfusion Service need the support not only of existing donors, but also of new donors. Please come along - it could save a life!

ST. JOSEPH'S YOUNG PRIESTS SOCIETY:
Mass in St. Patrick's Churhc on Wednesday 16th June at 7.30pm followed by meeting in St. Michael's Parish Centre immediately after Mass.
ST. COLMCILLE'S PRIMARY SCHOOL:
Are holding a Quiz Night in RGU on Wednesday 16th June at 8.30pm sharp. Get a team together and support your local school. Entertainment will be provided by the B'Jaz Brothers. Admission, payable at door is £3, and includes a light supper. Details available from 02844614177
PIONEER TOTAL ABSTINENCE ASSOCIATION:
The Annual Pilgrimage to Knock takes place next weekend. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances there are a few places left. Anyone interested in going should contact Sheila McPoland on 44617212
CEMETERY SUNDAY:
At Killough Road on 27th June at 3pm. Struell on 4th July.
A temporary one way-system will be in operation. Access to the cemetery will be from the Flying Horse side of town only. Families should bring their own Holy Water.
KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY:
There are three areas at the Cemetery for the disposal of rubbish: the dump, the skip, and behind the screen in the left hand corner of the cemetery.
PLEASE PLACE RUBBISH IN ONE OF THESE AREAS. DO NOT DUMP RUBBISH AT THE GATES OR IN ANY OTHER UNAUTHORISED AREA OF THE CEMETERY.
ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH: WEEKDAY OPENING:
St. Patrick's Church will now open in the morning at the later time of 8.30am rather than 8.00am. We hope that this does not cause too much inconvenience.

NAISCOIL DHUN PADRAIG:
We are the only Irish medium playgroup in Downpatrick and are currently enrolling for the school year 2004/2005. We have funded places available for children in their pre-school year.
