Heavyweight All-Time Top 10

In the section below i have listed the ten heavyweights that i regard as the greatest of all time.

I have based my ratings on the following, achievment, quality of opposition, overall ring record, length of championship reign and ring record against other world champions. Please note this is NOT a 'who beats who' list.

I know people will read this top ten and disagree with some of my selections or rating positions, but everyone has thier own opinions and looks for different things in great fighters but that is what makes Boxing so interesting.

If you disagree with any of my ratings or want to send me your own top ten list then feel free to Email them to me, also if you think there is anyone who i have missed of the top ten and you can make a good enough case out to me as to why any particular fighter should be included in my list then again, Email me and maybe i will review my ratings, then again maybe not.....

                                              2 - Larry Holmes.                                       

                                              3 - Lennox Lewis.

                                              4 - Evander Holyfield.

                                              5 - George Foreman.                                

                                              6 - Joe Louis.

                                              7 - Rocky Marciano.

                                              8 - Gene Tunney. 

                                              9 - Mike Tyson.

                                             10 - Jack Dempsey.

 

So there are my own ten greatest heavyweight champions, obviously this is my own personal opinion and when listing all time lists whether it be from any particular weight division or pound for pound ratings it is always open to debate and personal preference, there are a few other heavyweight champions who i considered for my top ten but who just missed out, and so if you click the link below and you can see a list of my next 10 great heavyweight champs with a brief description of each fighter.
