Excavation of the Greyfriars Monastery in Lanark

In the summer of 1999, LADAS was involved with the Lanark Museum Trust in a number of activities concerned with the development work occurring on the former site of Cox's garage in Lanark. This has been a major undertaking and work is ongoing to catalogue and investigate our finds.

Many of our finds from this dig are on display as part of Lanark Museum's 2000 exhibition. Opening hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10am - 4pm, but for precise details please contact us or consult the local press.
