The Society is run by a committee elected annually as outlined by the constitution. Minutes of the committee meetings for the current session are available here.

Membership of the Society enables free attendance at all of our meetings and additionally allows use of our library and computing facilities.

You can join the society at any of the meetings detailed in the programme, or write to the Treasurer. These fees are used to cover both the programme for the year and contribute towards the cost of our archaeological activities. Non-members are welcome at all of our lectures, there is a fee of £3 per evening.

Archaeology is an expensive business we always welcome contributions, either from individuals or organisations. If you want to help either contact us or write to:

PC Equipment

LADAS has benefited from several 'Awards for All' lottery grants which has enabled the Society to purchase several PCs and peripherals, including a digital projector. This equipment is housed within the Information Technology training suite of ALVO on Hope Street. Access to our equipment is gained by asking at the front office.

Members may use this equipment for any Society related purposes, for example to:

Archeological Equipment

LADAS has a restivity meter, which is very useful for site surveys and can take both horizontal and vertical sections. We also have an electonic distance measure, which is used to record the topography of sites. Both of these items would be available for loan to other societies in the area.
