Alan gave a report from Ian Borthwick about computer consumable prices. 2. Disclaimer - Ian is currently developing a handbook for members which is based on the guard handbook. 3. Headed notebook - available as a template from Ian as an e-mail attachment. Review of Past Events 1. Lecture by Ken Ledingham on ' Was Napoleon murdered ' reckoned to be a great success - attracting some new members plus members that had not been seen for some time. Organization of posters would have probably brought more people therefore to be done for forthcoming lecture by Brian Moffat. Forthcoming events 1. Need to find out time of forthcoming C.S.A AG.M at Pollock House on February 24th 2. Churches visit - direction of visit to be reversed on April 7th. Aberdour ® Dollar ® Castle Campbell ® Alloa Tower. 3. No further news about proposed summer visit to Aikwood. 4. Trip to York - Alan reported that the Christmas market in York was a disappointment. Ed suggested Durham as an alternative and would look at possible itinerary. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Ed - Newsletter - Alan handed in an article about Flinders Petrie by Terri. Abridged version of Scott's lecture to go in as well. 2. General discussion took place about buying equipment for fieldwalking. 3. General discussion took place about possible activities like fieldwalking and the bridge survey.. 4. Ian still dealing with the finds and their eventual handover to National Museum. 5. Ed mentioned that there was a web training course being organized by the South Lanarkshire Museum's Forum at the beginning of February. 6. Ed stated that there would be some second hand computers available from the National Library of Scotland priced at £ 50 each. 7. Scott gave an update about recent developments at ALVO which would mean that it would be a while before the computer suite would be available. 8. Scott has noted all the serial numbers of the Society's Computer equipment. 9. All the committee members reported to Sandy what they had in the form of items belonging to the Society. Everybody to make suggestions at next meeting Actions 1. Work on Friary finds is on going. 2. Scott had sent letter to Abbot's House. 3. Ed had spoken to Hoggs of Carluke re proposed development in the South Vennel and they are having an archaeological assessment done. A.O.C.B 1. Scott mentioned a visit to Manchester on March 17th and Cambridge on 30th June. 2. Ed said that the members could acquire a discount on Shire books. 3.
