Lanark and District Civic Trust

Lanark and District Civic Trust was formed in 1978 as a voluntary and charitable body. The Trust seeks to:

The Trust pursues these aims through meetings, exhibitions, publicity, and fund raising. Membership is open to all who are interested in the Trust's aims. Meetings are held at 7.30pm in Lanark YMCA building normally every second Tuesday in the month from September to May. These are usually business meetings, at which only paid-up members of the Trust have a right to vote. Non-members however are welcome to attend as observers.

The Neil Sinclair Award

This prestigious award, named after the highly respected founder chairman of the Trust, is normally conferred annually upon a person nominated and elected by the members of the Trust. The project is deemed to have considerably enhanced the quality of the environment of Lanark and District.
