Royal Society of Scottish Country Dancing

The Lanark Branch of the Royal Society of Scottish Country Dancing celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2001. The class meets regularly during the winter months, from mid September until end March. Meetings are held in the Robert Owen Primary School, Lanark from 7.30 till 9.00p.m. The class is open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced dancers. We aim to keep alive the tradition of Scottish Country Dancing, and would welcome visitors to come for a few 'taster' sessions before deciding whether to join the class.

Dances are held twice during the year, around St. Andrews Day, and in the Spring.

We welcome enquiries to the Secretary, Mrs Thelma Boertien or the President, Mrs Jo Cox.

The session 2001/02 begins again on 18th September at 7.30p.m. at Robert Owen Primary School, Smyllum Road, Lanark.
