About Us!

We are a choir of approximately 30 mixed voices (soprano, alto, tenor and bass), of variable ages ---mainly 40-50's--- based in the beautiful historic village of HAWARDEN just 8 miles from the medieval walled city of CHESTER.

Hawarden Singers has an enviable reputation and a pedigree of long standing. In the past the choir has successfully competed and performed both nationally and internationally , as well as at prestigious events

We take great pride in our ability to sing and perform music which ranges from Adriano Banchieri through to John Rutter , encompassing Bach, Brahms, Carter, Duke Ellington. Rachmaninoff, Gershwin , Chilcott , Faure, Mozart, Fritz Spiegel et al. There is also a sprinkling of modern music and even the occasional T.V. theme just to provide a diversity of musical challenges !

Our Musical Director is a professionally trained tenor and together with our highly competent accompanist provide an experienced, able and enthusiastic team taking the choir to the highest possible standard of choral singing.

The Hawarden Singers are happy to sing at any venue for any worthwhile cause and occasion, and can be flexible in our arrangements to meet the needs of others.
