This is a typical N Book for keeping diagrams in. It is made of leather and has a button fastener. The Royal crest is GeorgeV so this is quite old. Others I have are not so old and look similar but don't have the button fastening or the Royal crest. The diagrams inside are held in place by two studs that the papers fit over, the diagrams can then be easily changed or renewed.
