Tele No2/150
|
This is a GPO manual exchange No2 Telephone which was introduced in 1906. This one was converted by the GPO circa 1924 into a tele 150. This can be seen on the top of the stem where the No2 is crossed out and replaced with a 150. As a manual exchange telephone it has no dial, instead it is fitted with a blanking plate. This could then be removed at a later date and replaced with a dial when the exchange went automatic. This phone would be connected to a bell set No1, this would contail the coil, cap and bell's for the phone. . |
