N0 36 Exchange Master clock N0 36 made by Chloride Gent with polished mahogany case and glass door. These clocks were used to set the tariff at deferent times of the day. It has out puts for 1 sec 6 sec and 30sec, the 30sec used to switch the slave clock heads around the exchange building. Powered off the 50 volt exchange battery's these clocks were in service from about 1930's to 1980's when exchanges moved over to digital. The clock is extremely accurate and has a calibrated dial at the end of the bob. It will run from 9 volts up to 50 volts but compensation would have to be made for the voltage deference.
Slave This Clock is now Sold, Thanks to all who enquired about it.. Please e-mail me if you are interested in buying it. It is big though and the buyer would have to collect as postage would be a bit expensive and where would you find a box big enough to put it in! On the right is a slave dial marked on the back 64A DCA /59/2. The dial is marked GPO under the centre hole for the fingers. This clock head will only work with this type of electric pulse clock.
