2009 AGM:
Secretary’s Report
2009...
- We had 34 members :o)
- There were 11 meets :o(
- The average was 9 people per meet (11 if you include Annual Dinner & Xmas dinner) :o)
- Meets made a loss of £253, of which £130 was in September when we had to pay for sole use and had 8 people. We also lost money in December (due to overbuying food!)
- Xxx people on mailing list who we hope to see out on the hill soon!
- 2009 BMC subscription was higher by approx £100, however by remaining members we have access to club huts. The BMC also provide individual members with civil liability insurance. Members should be aware that they can upgrade their club membership to full membership, if you are a member of more than one club, you can get this refunded (see me for details).
2010...
Things are changing...
- How do we get more people away?
- If you want to influence where we go in 2011 say now...
- No Club organised meet in August 2010 due to lack of interest in previous years. To be organised by club members who want to go away.
- Payment in advance by BACS or by cheque so as to not need to deal with money on the meet.
- Help with meets. Due to a change in my job I have limited time. I am asking for an ‘organiser’ for each meet (that I will help) to do the food and travel etc
